Hercules came into our rescue program on September 25, 2007. Hercules came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division. Hercules is estimated to be a yearling, Stud Colt, Gray, Arabian Cross. He has an injury to his hind leg that is being treated. It appears that he got his leg caught in something and cut it pretty deep. He is not lame on it and we anticipate that he will make a full recovery...

These horses were being ridden in their current condition. Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office investigated these horses and called us to seize and rehabilitate. Prairie was originally adopted through the Bureau of Land Management when she was 7 months old by her former owner. Prairie has developed a rare condition in her eyes that renders her blind on occasion. We plan to have her accessed by a Veterinarian to see if their is any type of correctional surgery to help her...

Orlando came into our rescue program on May 30, 2007. Orlando came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division as a Cruelty Case along with 2 other horses. Orlando is just a weanling, estimated to be around 6 - 8 months old. He is in extremely poor condition. This poor baby doesn't have an ounce of fat anywhere on his body. McDreamy is a 5 month old, Red Roan Paint Colt. McDreamy was in poor condition when seized . He has a hernia that he will need to have surgery to repair. His feet are in extremely bad shape and he is scheduled to have his feet done soon. McDreamy was also covered in Rain Rot when he was seized. He is doing well and recovering...

Bailey is a 3 year old Bay Filly. Bailey is a sweet girl! So far, she has had the hardest time with receiving a proper diet and care. She has attempted to colic on us at least twice. She is doing much better and getting used to her new life. Her teeth are in bad shape and will need to have a veterinarian look at her soon...

7-up Duck came into our rescue program on November 1, 2005. Duck is estimated to be around 16 years of age. She is a bay thoroughbred and used to be a polo mare. Duck's ankles are fused together so she could not be ridden by a adult. Some days are better than others, but Duck would make a wonderful companion animal or possibly a therapy horse for a small child to be lead around. She is a very sweet girl that deserves a loving forever home. Duck is current on vaccinations, deworming, feet maintenance and has a current negative coggins. Chip is a 15 +/- year old, Sorrel Stud. Chip was in extremely poor condition upon arrival. His feet were extremely bad and he was shod. We immediately got his shoes off and had his feet properly trimmed. There is no telling how long he was left with those shoes on...

Meredith is a 5 month old, Paint Filly. Meredith was in very poor condition and covered in Rain Rot when she was seized. Her feet were in horrible condition and she had abscesses in all four feet. A baby should not have to endure so much in such a short life. Meredith has received her first trimming and we are still doctoring the abscesses...

Barbie Barbie is a 3 year old Chestnut Filly. Barbie is a sweet girl and is in good condition. Barbie is waiting to get her first feet trimming, as she is long in the toes. Once the case is closed, we will update with more information as well as updated pictures...

Izzy is a 6 year old Paint Mare. Izzy was anther fortunate one that did not suffer from starvation. Izzy is a sweet girl and and is currently waiting to get her feet trimmed. Izzy had shoes on her feet upon removal...

Smore is a 7 year old, Paint, Mare. Smore was thin upon arrival, but her severe neglected resulted from her Halter being embedded in her face. It was not easy getting that halter off her face and we had to clean it and put ointment on it daily for it to heal. She no longer has signs of the halter being embedded in her face. The pictures are graphic and as you can see the halter was embedded all around her nose...

Corky came into our rescue program on August 31, 2006. Corky is a beautiful, 8 year old, Arabian, Gelding. He is a sweet boy that is underweight. He has been a bit neglected but on the road to recovery to now. When Corky came to us he had a swollen hind leg with a puncture wound. We don't know what punctured him, but he has been started on antibiotics and we have been cleaning and wrapping his leg daily...

This poor little boy has been through a lot in his short life. He is underweight and very malnourished. He was fortunate enough to have some angels looking over him in order to get somewhere that he can have a better future...

Rambo is bay in color, extremely beautiful and has been ridden on trails, etc. Rambo has had a minor injury on his rear ankle. We are evaluating him now to determine his level of activity that he can handle...

Keera came into our rescue program on July 8, 2006. Keera is a sweet little sorrel mare. She has a lame back foot, where her hoof has curled under at the toe. We do not know if this is repairable, but will have it looked at and see what we can do for her. She appears to be around 6 years of age...

Mr. Jones came into our rescue program on December 8, 2006. We were contacted by the Jones Police Department needing assistance with the impound of a neglected horse. Mr. Jones was found being starved and neglected in Jones, Oklahoma. The previous owner was cited and appeared in court to sign over his rights to us. We estimated Jones to be around 20 years of age. He is a sweet boy, very mild mannered and enjoys being around other horses...

Sandy came into our rescue program on August 26, 2006. Sandy is a yearling, filly. She is very pretty. She hasn't received a lot of socialization, but has great potential. She is curious and will let you pet her. She is halter broke and broke to lead. She just needs a family that will give her lots of love and attention...

John is searching for a retirement home to call his own. John is a beautiful 25 year old, Palomino, Gelding. He would be an excellent horse for a young child that is just getting started. John is currently being fostered in Kansas, but will be transported to Oklahoma as soon as an adopter is located...

Janie has been donated to our facility and is completely healthy and sound. Janie is currently going through some refresher courses under saddle. She is doing great. Rosey ccame into our rescue program on April 7, 2006. Rosey is a sweet Donkey. She is estimated to be 20 years old. She is pretty emaciated and has an upper respiratory infection. Rosey is trained to ride and seems to really like the kids. She is a sweet girl. Gofer came into our rescue program on December 23, 2005. Gofer is a gorgeous Sorrel Gelding. Gofer is 15 years old. He has amazing conformation and is just a gorgeous sweet boy. Although Gofer is a dream to look at, he is unfortunately lame on his right front leg. Gofer has joint problems and bone chips. He has his good days and his bad. At this time, Gofer could only be a companion animal. Gofer just needs a wonderful retirement home. Gofer has been a champion barrel racer and pole bender. His previous family loved him very much and wanted him to receive a wonderful retirement home...

Cricket came into our rescue program on August 2, 2006. Cricket was donated to our facility and is an Registered APHA, 15 year old, Red Roan Overo, Mare. Cricket is a beautiful horse, she is trained to ride and she used to be a halter horse in her younger years. She is just a sweetheart, loves attention, gets along great with other horses. Woody came into our rescue program on June 10, 2006. Woody is a 9 year old, thoroughbred, gelding. Woody has a pretty interesting race record behind him and he raced until May of 2005. Woody is a sweet horse, but is showing mild signs of lameness in his hind quarters. We will have woody evaluated by our vet and see if we can pin down the exact problem and hopefully have him treated...

Sully came into our rescue program on June 3, 2006. Sully is an 11 year old, Chestnut, Thoroughbred, Gelding. Sully came to us with a very large tumor beside his left eye that needed to be removed. On June 5, 2006, Sully went into surgery to have the tumor removed. Sully is doing good and recovering, and his stitches will need to be removed after 10 days. Sully is trained to ride and a big sweetheart...

Merlin came into our rescue program on April 6, 2006. Merlin is a beautiful, Registered, Black/White, Paint Gelding. Merlin is 7 years old. He is the kindest and most adorable horse. Merlin is ride-able, however he can only be a pleasure/trail horse. Merlin previously had surgery on his fetlock for scar tissue removal. Damon came into our rescue program on April 7, 2006. Damon is a pretty gray donkey. He is estimated to be under 5 years of age. Damon is a little timid, but loves to eat treats from your hand. He is a sweet boy, he just needs to know that the suffering stops here. Damon has been in and out of sale barns for quite sometime by horse traders. He no longer has to endure that pain, but longs to have a family of his own...

Shrek came into our rescue program on April 7, 2006. Shrek is an extremely sweet gray Donkey. Not sure of his exact age but this guy is a lover. He loves attention, loves to eat treats from your hand. He will even go through your hand and pockets to find the treats. I just can't say enough about this sweet boy. Shrek would make an excellent family pet...

Blue came into our rescue program on August 19, 2005. Blue is a 5 year old, Gray, Thoroughbred Gelding. Blue was starved and abandoned by his previous owner. We do not have all the details, but we do know that he had some angels watching over him, because he was found. Blue has wounds all over his body from head to toe. He had become so weak that he would get down and then thrash and injure himself trying to get back to his feet. What we currently know is that this beautiful boy was a previous racehorse. His previous owner was deported back to Mexico and the horse was left in a stall to starve to death. Fortunately, he was found before it was too late and he is now on the road to recovery...

Sparky came into our rescue program on January 2, 2006. Sparky is estimated to be 20 years old. He is a sweet Bay Arabian Gelding. Sparky is underweight, but we feel that he will make a full recovery. Our Vet has already looked at Sparky and floated his teeth. His teeth were in horrible shape and has probably hindered his weight. Sparky is broke to ride. He would make someone an excellent trail/pleasure horse. He is a very sweet guy...

Tarmac came into our rescue program on December 4, 2005. Tarmac is cute Gray & White Paint Yearling Colt. Tarmac has a severely large swelling on his front leg around his coronary band. It could be High Ringbone, but we plan to have our vet take a look at it and see if there is anything that can be done for him. He has not received any human attention and is not trusting of people at all. Tarmac will need some one on one attention and some tender loving care. We were able to work with him a little bit this evening when he arrived. We were able to Halter him, but he does not know how to lead or accept attention at this time...

Snoopy Snoopy came into our rescue program on November 9, 2005. Snoopy was picked up by animal control with Linus. Snoopy is estimated to be 3 years old. She is extremely beautiful and will make someone an excellent horse. Snoopy is always in your back pocket and loves attention. She likes to nibble on your neck and hair. She is such a sweetheart...

Rudy came into our rescue program on December 4, 2005. Rudy is a cute little Paint Yearling. Her color is different, she would be described as a gray & White Paint but with Roan also. She will be extremely beautiful once she fully colors out. Rudy has not received much human attention. She is not halter broke yet and does not seem to trust people at all right now. We plan to get her halter broke and try to calm her down a bit. Once she is more trusting of humans and has received her negative coggins, vaccinations, deworming and feet maintenance she will be available for adoption...

Ace came into our rescue program on December 4, 2005. Ace is a Sorrel Yearling that was rescued from a kill buyer and saved from Slaughter. He was donated to our rescue afterwards. Ace needs some human companionship and tender loving care and he will blossom into a great horse. We were able to spend a little bit of time with him this evening and put a halter on him. He came around pretty quickly and seemed to like the attention. As soon as Ace receives his current negative coggins, vaccinations, deworming and feet trimming he will be available for immediate adoption...

Tango came into our rescue program on January 22, 2006. Tango is a beautiful Black, 8 year old Gelding. He is a gorgeous boy. Tango is trained to ride, an 8 year old girl was previously riding him. Tango does great under saddle when other horses are not around. If Tango is around other horses he tends to pay more attention to the horses around him rather than the rider. He has been on trail rides and just needs to know that he is to mind the rider. He would be a great family horse and just needs to be worked with...

Ty came into our rescue program on December 22, 2005. Ty was picked up along with his Mother Lollie by the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division as a Stray. Ty is estimated to be around 5 months old. His mother is a welsh pony. Ty is a black, stud colt. He is just adorable, Extremely smart, he is halter broke and broke to lead. He likes the attention from humans and enjoys getting rubbed on. He is such a sweet boy. We plan to wean Ty from his mother and get him the necessary vaccinations and he will be available for adoption...

Lollie came into our rescue program on December 22, 2005. Lollie came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division as a Stray at large. Lollie is a black welsh pony. She is 13.2 hands, estimated to be 7 years of age. Lollie is very underweight, most of it is due to a foal that she has on her side. Lollie has a 5 month old baby named Ty. Lollie and Ty are doing good and gaining weight. Once Lollie has put on enough weight and received all her vaccinations and weaned her baby, she will be available for adoption...

Little Bit came into our rescue program on January 6, 2006. Little Bit is the son of Little Lady. Little Bit is estimated to be 12 years old. He is a beautiful Paint Welsh Pony. His coloring is very unique. His body color is a Chocolate Brown and White, but his mane and tail is a Silver Color. This guy is simply gorgeous. His feet are in bad shape and very long in the toe. We will have our farrier out next week to get his feet back in line. He will also have a Vet Check. We do not know if Little Bit is ride able. He is also a little hard to catch initially, but very responsive once on lead. We will do a full evaluation before he goes up for adoption...

Little Lady came into our rescue program on January 6, 2006. Little Lady is an adorable 14 year old Welsh Pony Mare. She is in excellent body condition but needs hoof work. We plan to have our farrier out next week to correct her feet. She is a nice pony. She is supposed to be broke to ride. She is a little hard to catch initially, but once you have her on lead she will do anything. We will work with her and test her riding abilities after we get her feet worked. We will also have her vet checked and then she will be evaluated for adoption...

Popeye came into our rescue program on October 22, 2005. Popeye is an 7 year palomino gelding. Popeye came from Guthrie, Oklahoma. He is very emaciated. Popeye is missing his right eye, from what we don't know. He is extremely sweet and doing well. We will have his teeth checked and have him dewormed. Popeye has been started on a small diet, but has a very healthy appetite and spirit...

Sugar Sugar is a 3 year old Palomino Mare. She has a beautiful Palomino Tobiano Paint Stud Colt, Toby, who has been adopted. Sugar has had 30 days training to ride. She is an extremely sweet and gentle girl. She would make someone an excellent horse and would possibly be a great kid horse. Sugar is from registered stock but was never registered...

Daly came into rescue program on October 21, 2005. Daly is estimated to be 18 years of age. He came from Sapulpa, Oklahoma with two other horses. Daly is in extremely poor condition. He has been weak and showing signs of colic. He has been started on small amounts of grain. Daly was standing eating in his stall when he suddenly fell to the ground. He scared us to death, he just sat their for a moment and then raised his head up to take another bite, but not coming to his feet. He did get back up and continued to slowly eat his grain...

Patience came into our rescue program on October 21, 2005. Patience along with two other horses were rescued from Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Patience is extremely emaciated and suffering from a Sinus Infection and rain rot. This poor girl just breaks my heart. Patience is estimated to be around 20 years old. She was weak upon rescuing her and her infection was so set in that she smelled extremely bad. Patience has been started on two forms of antibiotics. We hope that we can get this infection taken care of quickly so that she can start to gain a little bit more weight...

Solomon came into our rescue program on October 21, 2005. Solomon came from Sapulpa, Oklahoma along with two other horses. Solomon is estimated to be 7 years of age. He is in good physical condition, he does need his teeth done and dewormed. Solomon is very head shy, and untrusting. He seems to want attention becomes scared and spooky once approached. He doesn't seem to want you to touch his head, but enjoys his neck being rubbed. Solomon is a beautiful bay horse...

Pepper came into our rescue program on November 1, 2005. Pepper is a beautiful 18 year old Black Quarter Horse Gelding. Pepper used to be a cutting horse then a polo horse. Pepper has blown his right front knee out in his previous life of high performance. He is extremely sweet. Pepper can still be lightly ridden. Would make an excellent pleasure/trail horse. He responds to leg pressure, so would need a fairly experience rider. He still has lots of spunk and sometimes you wouldn't know that he had previously injured his knee. Pepper will be going up for adoption soon, if interested please submit an application now...

Tonka came into our rescue program on December 4, 2005. Tonka is an extremely cute Palomino Gelding Pony, estimated to be around 11 years of age. Tonka is a sweet little guy, but hasn't received any care for his hooves. Tonka's hooves are at least a foot long in length and are in desperate need of repair. As unbelievable as it sounds, Tonka walks well. We have not confirmed, but was told that Tonka knows how to drive and is broke to ride. Tonka will make someone child a perfect little pony. We plan to have the Farrier out Monday, December 5, 2005. We will get Tonka's feet taken care of and make sure that he hasn't foundered...

Charlotte came into our rescue program on November 1, 2005. Charlotte is a very pretty Bay Thoroughbred with a blaze face. She is 12 years old. Charlotte had EPM in 2002/2003. She was treated for over a 6 month period and cured. She does show some signs of the damage done, such as occasionally dragging her back feet. Charlotte was a top polo mare, before she came down with the EPM. She is still ride-able, but would not recommend cantering. She would make a good pleasure/trail horse, at a walk/trot only, she is not a performance horse...

Toby Toby is Sugar's beautiful Palomino Tobiano Paint Stud Colt. Toby is very smart. He is 4 months old and is halter broke. He is very curious and likes attention. He has been lead once and picked it right up. Both Momma and Baby are from registered stock but Mom was never registered...

Skipper was impounded on August 15, 2005. Skipper was a stray and wondered into someone's property for a late night meal. I usually don't post horses that are impounded and waiting for owners to come forward. One of the reasons that I wanted to post Skipper is because of her current condition. I have never seen a horse this badly swayed before at such a young age. Skipper is only a 4 year old. Having a horse that is swayed can be due to genetics, old age, or being started to early...

Smokey came into our rescue program on September 14, 2005. Smokey is estimated to be 30 years old. She was found in the middle of the night and no owner could be located. She is a very sweet girl. Of course, she needs to put a bit of weight on, but we don't believe that she will have any problem doing so. Smokey has most of her teeth, just missing two in the front top. She is a sweet veteran. Smokey will be available for adoption soon. She has a current negative coggins, she has received her West Nile, Eastern, Western, Tetanus, Rhino and Influenza shots...

Linus came into our rescue program on November 9, 2005. Linus has been neglected and was picked up by animal control. Linus is a beautiful bay thoroughbred. He is estimated to be 6 years of age. He is extremely underweight, but he is now on the road to recovery. Very Sweet Boy!...

Cheyenne came into our program on November 13, 2005. Cheyenne is a beautiful 4 1/2 year old Gray Mare. Cheyenne stands around 15 hands tall. She came with Fancy, they could be adopted together or separately. Cheyenne has had 90 days of training and would make someone a great horse. She is sound and a beautiful sight to look at. She can be a little skittish at times, but with patience and constant attention with slow introductions to new things she will overcome that...

Fancy came into our program on November 13, 2005. Fancy was donated to our rescue program, she is a beautiful 16 hand Roan Filly. She is 3 years old and has had 90 days of training. She would make someone an excellent horse. She is sound and could possibly be a good Jumper prospect. She just needs a loving forever home to call her own. Fancy came with Cheyenne. They could either be adopted together or separately...

Gunner came into our rescue program on August 24, 2005. Gunner is estimated to be in his early 20's. He is a beautiful Bay, Quarter Horse Gelding. Gunner came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division, where he spent most of the month of August. Since his stay at the shelter he has put on quite a bit of weight. He looks good, but still needs to gain a bit more...

Cassie came into our rescue program on July 2, 2005. Cassie is estimated to be in her 20's. She has been very neglected and way over bred. She is a sweet girl and seems to have really brightened up since her arrival. We do not know much about her background at this time, but we do know that she has a tattoo in her mouth. We hope that we can do some research and find out more about this sweet girls background. It is just a shame that someone would allow her to get this underweight. We have started her on a good high fat diet and should notice some weight gain soon...

Dan came into our rescue program on March 18, 2005. We traveled to Alto, Texas to bring Dan here and provide him with the much needed rehabilitation. Dan is an older quarter horse gelding. We would estimate his age to be around 20 years of age. This poor boy has been through a lot and needs some Tender, Loving, Care. He is a sweetheart and supposed to be kid broke to ride. He will need to gain some much needed weight. He also appears to have an infection in his eye that we will have looked at by our vet...

Sierra came into our rescue program on March 9, 2005. Sierra is estimated to be around 20 years old. She is extremely emaciated and in the worst physical shape that we have seen to date. Sierra was advertised in the paper for $100. An individual answered that ad in the paper and went to look at the horse and couldn't bear to leave her there in that condition...

Ribbon came into our rescue program February 17, 2005, after her previous owners fell upon hard times. Ribbon is an Appaloosa Mare, estimated to be between 15 & 20 years of age and she is the mother of Bow and Edie, which you can see on our rescued page. Ribbon has suffered severe damage to her Right Eye rendering her blind. She has partial vision out of her Left Eye. Ribbon is a very sweet mare who has been through some rough times. She is small, maybe 14 hands tall...

Pumpkin came into our rescue program on June 8, 2005. Pumpkin is estimated to be around 9 years of age. She is a beautiful sorrel mare with a blaze face. She is a little shy and timid right now, but we hope once given time she will settle in and trust us. She is not currently trained to ride. We plan to work with her once she settles in a bit more. I am sure that she is stressed from the move. Pumpkin had to be moved quickly from her previous owners due to a neighbor shooting buck shot at her...

Cracker has been in our rescue program for a little over a year now. Cracker came to us just a yearling stud colt. He is now a 2 yr old, he is a beautiful Cremelo with blue eyes. Cracker was abandoned and left running down a busy street in Oklahoma City. Cracker is such a sweetheart, he loves to nuzzle you and give kisses...

Beauty came into our rescue program on June 8, 2005. Beauty is a pretty little bay pony, estimated to be 3 years of age. Beauty has not had any training. We are currently working with her on leading and Haltering. She needs a home were someone can give her much needed love and attention. She does like to be petted once she trusts you and realizes that you are not going to hurt her. She enjoys eating Alfalfa cubes from your hand. Beauty is a sweet girl and has a lot of potential...

Zero came into our rescue program on June 6, 2005. Zero is a white miniature horse, estimated to be 8 years of age. She came in with Cocoa and have been together for most of their lives. Zero is a very sweet girl that needs to find a loving forever home with her companion Cocoa. Zero has a small puncture wound on her back leg from an attack by a pit bull, unfortunately, Zero lost her baby to that pit bull as well...

Cocoa came into our rescue program on June 6, 2005. Cocoa is a chocolate colored gelding, estimated to be around 14 years of age. Cocoa is trained to ride, but has not been ridden in the last year. Cocoa came with his companion Zero. Both are very sweet miniature horses. Cocoa is rideable and extremely beautiful. Cocoa and Zero have spent most of their lives together and would like them to be adopted into a loving forever home together...

CJ came into our rescue program on May 15, 2005. She is a beautiful Spanish Pony. She is 7 years old and unfortunately blind in one eye. She is very sweet when handled. She has not been handled much in the last couple of years from the way that she acts, but responds well when you work with her. She is also foundered in her front feet. We don't believe that it is severe at this time and can be corrected with regular trimmings...

Bow came into our rescue program February 17, 2005, after her previous owners fell upon hard times. Bow is an 4 year old Appaloosa cross filly. She does not have much spots on her now, but may show differently when she sheds off her winter coat. Bow if a small girl who needs to gain a little more weight. Edie came into our rescue program on February 17, 2005, after her previous owners fell upon hard times. Edie is a 3 year old Appaloosa cross filly. She is the daughter of Ribbon and sister to Bow. She is very small, but still has a little time to grow. She is a little underweight and currently being treated for worms. Edie needs a home where she can be loved and taught to trust when she is handled. She goes into defense mode quickly if she feels threatened...

Hawk came into our rescue program February 19, 2005, from Arkansas. Hawk is a registered Missouri Fox Trotter Gelding. He is 8 years old and stands at 16 hands, he is in excellent condition. He is just beautiful. Hawk is foundered in his right front foot. We plan to have our farrier out to correct his feet. He doesn't show any signs of lameness, so that is a positive sign that he can be fully corrected...

Sapa came into our rescue program on February 17, 2005, after his previous owners fell upon hard times. Sapa is a yearling Stud Colt. He is extremely sweet. Sapa is very underweight and wormy. We are currently treating him for the worms. Sapa is pretty weak in the legs and has difficulty getting on his feet after lying down. We will slowly get him back into shape and after he has gained some weight he will be gelded. He is a very loving boy who will make someone an excellent addition to their family...

Bear came into our rescue program on February 17, 2005, after his previous owners fell upon hard times. Bear is a 3 year old Stud Colt. Bear is extremely underweight and is being treated for worms. Bear is a little scared of all the changes that have been made, but he is starting to settle in well. Bear will have to be gelded once he gains some much needed weight...

Easter Lily came into our rescue program on March 18, 2005. Easter is a registered quarter horse mare, she is 20 years of age. Easter is exceptionally sweet and loves attention. She is kid gentle and trained to ride. She would make someone an excellent addition to their family. We plan to have our vet out this week to look at Easter. She currently has an enlarged front left knee that needs attention and she also needs to be dewormed, have her teeth floated, and have a current coggins pulled...

Bella came into our program February 13, 2005. Bella is a 2 year old filly. She is very sweet and loves attention from people. She was previously rescued by a friend in Texas. Bella is currently going through her rehabilitation process. She was very wormy and has a severe case of Rain Rot. We are treating her and trying to get some extra weight on her. She is a special girl and will soon be ready to have a loving forever home of her own...

Angel came into our rescue on January 12, 2005. She is our first rescue of the year. Angel is estimated to be around 2 years of age. Angel was nearly starved to death, this poor baby is suffering from a severe case of Rain Rot and is losing large chunks of her hair around her back bone. The pictures are hard to tell how poor of shape that she is in, due to the thickness of her winter hair that is on her sides. She is weak, but improving daily. She also has parasites that we are treating and lack of iron and vitamins. She is very sweet and doesn't mind all the loving that we have given her...

Maximus came into our rescue program July 27, 2004. Maximus used to be a therapy horse in Ada, Oklahoma. Unfortunately, the therapy clinic went out of business and all the horses were sent to new homes. Maximus just didn't get as lucky as others and was sent to someone that obviously had no concern of how horses should be treated. Fortunately for Max, their was a wonderful young lady that would not tolerate his treatment and made bold attempts to have him removed. Thank goodness for her efforts. Max was removed and spent a little bit of time with this bright, energetic young lady, which has a wonderful amount of compassion for animals...

Fire and her colt Ice came into our rescue program December 16, 2004. Fire is a black mare estimated to be around 10 years of age. She came to us a little underweight with Ice, her foal on her side, and showing stifle problems. Fire is due to have the surgery on January 3, 2005. If you would like to make a donation towards her care, it would be greatly appreciated. Fire has not received much hands on. Missy came into our rescue program January 23, 2005. Missy has spent several years of her life as a Therapy horse for handicapped children. Missy is 17 years of age. She is extremely sweet and would make someone an excellent pleasure horse. She is well mannered. She will need to put a little more weight on, but after we have her teeth floated she should start to gain quickly. She is an old foundation bred quarter horse and has distinctive black spots on each side. She is unique and very pretty...

Pistol came into our rescue program January 23, 2005, with Missy. Pistol has quite an impressive background. Pistol started out his life and career has a pony horse for the race track. After that he became an exercise horse and that didn't work out so well, they used pistol to exercise 10 horses in one day and blew out his front knee. He shows no signs of lameness or pain. He gets around very well. After he blew out his knee he became a therapy horse for handicapped children.....

Lady came into our rescue program October 28, 2004. Lady came from the Jones Livestock Auction when a friend went to check out the Tack sale and saw her poor condition and called me. Tiny came into our rescue program June 12, 2004. Tiny came from the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter, this gentle giant had been neglected by a boarding facility and his owners could not be found. After Tiny's arrival we started looking him over and found his Tattoo. Tiny is a 8 year old, gelding and he raced at Remington Park until October of last year. I can't say for sure what happened to Tiny, but he clearly shows problems when walking. I would assume that he was injured and rendered unable to race. Apparently after that, his owners and boarders didn't think that he was worth feeding...

Dixie came to us around the first of December 2003 from the OKC Animal Shelter. Dixie was rescued from Spencer, Oklahoma and is estimated to be 16 years of age. Dixie came to us nearly starved to death, no animal cruelty charges were filed due to the owner being deceased. Dixie was in extremely poor condition and very weak upon arrival. We had to watch her all hours of the day. We didn't know for sure if she would make it...

Liberty came to Blaze's Tribute August 9, 2003, along with Twister. They had been extremely starved and neglected in Spencer, Oklahoma. Lil' Man came into our rescue program August 1, 2004. He is a 3 year old stud colt that has not had a very good life. We spotted Lil' Man back in October of last year. He was practically starved to death and we called the local sheriff out immediately. The sheriff came out, left the owner with a notice to comply and stated that he wasn't that bad...

Easy is a 4 year old Blue Roan Filly. She is extremely sweet and loves people. She is gentle and trained to ride. Easy was involved in an accident a year ago that resulted in losing her bottom front teeth. Easy will need a diet of constant hay and grain...

Daisy came into our program on March 20, 2004 from Kansas. Daisy is a yearling palomino filly. Daisy injured her right knee when she was a weanling which left it enlarged. Her previous owners did not want to sell her in fear that she would go to slaughter or a horse trader due to her injury...

Lucky arrived in our rescue program April 30, 2004. Lucky is a 3 year old Quarter Horse gelding. Lucky is suffering from a severe case of ulcers. He was previously scoped and found to have an ulcer bleeding profusely. Lucky is currently being fostered on pasture, per vet's recommendation. Lucky should heal after appropriate pasture time and enjoying the time of just being a horse. Lucky is one of the sweetest horses we have come to know and he never passes up the chance to come give us hugs...

Pony Boy came to us on May 16, 2004. Pony Boy is a yearling Palomino Stud. Pony Boy suffers from a Spinal Deformity, which he was born with. His spine curves in the middle of his back, leaving him with muscle tissue that should cover both sides of his spine on one side in a hump. This was a non-genetic disorder and not very many answers as to why this would happen...

Mia came into our rescue program on May 16, 2004. Mia is a 20 year old, black Mare. Mia is extremely foundered in both front feet. She is currently undergoing a series of trimming to help her move a little better and to try to correct it at some level. Mia walks with very small, fast steps. She is a very sweet natured horse...

Hershey was one horse we were able to get out of a horrible triangle. Many of you may remember the starving horses found in November of 2002 that the vet starved to death over a year ago. Today January 31, 2004 at Hennessey these horses were auctioned off. Hershey has been adopted by a wonderful family in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Ringo came to us the first of April, 2004. He is estimated to be 8 years of age, Ringot is a small gelded pony. he is currently a little underweight, but we feel that he will make a fast recovery. Ringo has been adopted to a wonderful family in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Junior is a 12 year old pony, that came to us in September 2003. Junior came from the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter, where he stayed for a couple of weeks awaiting his owners to come bring him home. He is an excellent kid horse and takes wonderful care of who ever is riding him. Junior has been adopted to a wonderful family in Miami, Oklahoma.

Twister is estimated to be 5 years old. He was in extremely poor condition, he's doing great now. Twister has been adopted by a wonderful family in Piedmont, Oklahoma that has adopted not one but now 4 total horses from us...

Shiloh is a sorrel with a blaze face, estimated to be 18 years old and a stud. He came in from a severe case of Animal Cruelty and is in need of your help. He was picked up as a stray along with three other horses by the the OKC Animal Shelter. Shiloh has been adopted to a wonderful family in Maud, Oklahoma where he now lives with one of our former rescues Freedom...

Lightning is an Arabian Mare, estimated to be in her late teens. Lightning was rescued about 6 months ago when her previous owners had left her to die when she foundered. Lightening has found her match. She has been adopted by a wonderful family in Guthrie, Oklahoma..

Freedom came to Blaze's Tribute in late June 2003. Freedom's previous owners surrendered him, due to no longer being able to care for him. That was more than obvious when we saw him. Freedom was extremely neglected in more ways than one. Freedom was recently accepted into a wonderful foster home in Maud, Oklahoma. A week later the family decided that they couldn't dream of letting him go. So, we are now happy to announce that Freedom has found his forever home in Maud, Oklahoma. Freedom is receiving much love and relaxation, a perfect match indeed.

McClain County Rescue

Brownie is a 6 year old crop out paint mare. She is Bay in Color and stands close to 16 hands tall. We believe that she has some thoroughbred in her. Brownie has been with us now for 3 years and desperately needs to find her loving forever home. Brownie is extremely sweet. She needs someone that is patient and loving. It has been reported to me that Brownie was beaten in the past by her previous owners...

Midnight is a 6 year old Quarter Horse Gelding. Midnight proved to be quite a challenge for us. He attempted to die on us at least once a week. We didn't give up on him though, no matter how many times he tried to give up on himself. Midnight was extremely poor – the pictures do not reveal his true status when he arrived. He took longer than the others to gain weight. But, eventually he started to come around and today he is fat and sassy.

Ladybug is estimated to be 5 years old. She is a registered crop out paint. Unfortunately, we were not able to get her papers. Ladybug has been adopted, along with Sunrise and Mandy to a wonderful family in Piedmont. They are doing great, and have become quite the little queens at their new forever home.

Mandy is estimated to be 3 years of age. Mandy is Sassy's first born and full sister to Sunrise. Mandy's growth has been extremely stunted due to such neglect. She will not grow much more. Her sister Sunrise, who is going on 2, is already taller than Mandy. Mandy is extremely sweet and loves attention.

Sunrise is about 2 years old. She is the second born to Sassy. She is extremely sweet. Sunrise has suffered some stunted growth and will be small like her sister, Mandy.

Diamond is estimated to be 5 years of age. Diamond came to us as a stud – he was gelded as soon as he gained a reasonable amount of weight. He is very sweet and broke to ride. Diamond and Sassy are in their new forever home together with a Luther family, where the kids can't get enough of them and the horses love every minute of it.

Sassy is around 4 years old. She has already foaled out 2 babies, Mandy and Sunrise. Sunrise was about 4 months old when we picked them up and on her mother. Sassy gave almost everything she had to her baby. Sassy is extremely gentle and broke to ride. She suffers from a little arthritis in her hind legs – we believe from foaling out too young. Her first foal, Mandy, would have been born when she was only 2 years old.

Reeces is kind of the grandma of them all. She is our eldest mini estimated at 12 years of age. She took longer to put the weight back on. She is extremely sweet and is currently being loved on by our daughter Dakota.

Butterscotch is estimated to be 5 years of age. She wasn't as bad as the other mini's. She is extremely sweet, always in your back pocket. Butterscotch has been adopted to a wonderful family in Edmond. Butterscotch will now offer Therapy to a wonderful little 3 year old girl, I think that they are a perfect match and a very rewarding adoption.

Buddy is estimated to be 2 years of age. Buddy was a stud, and son of Butterscotch. He was adopted out last year with Lily.

Clay is about 3 years old. He is very small and extremely sweet. Clay was adopted to a wonderful family in Colorado last year.

Coco is estimated to be 4 years old. She was very skinny upon arrival and very small. She bloomed into a beautiful angel. CoCo was adopted out to a wonderful family in Luther last year.

Lil' Joe is around 6 years old. He came to us as a stud, and unbelievably in the best shape of all the 20 that we picked up. Again, you can't tell in the pictures how skinny they were. Lil' Joe was gelded and adopted out to a wonderful family in Edmond last year.

Lily is estimated to be around 3 years of age. She was a first born to Miss Runner. She was adopted out to a wonderful family in Calumet last year.

Peanut is about 2 years old. Peanut is the son of Reeces. He was adopted last year by a wonderful family in Wanette.

Peewee is around 4 years of age. PeeWee came to us as a stud and in extremely poor condition. PeeWee was adopted with Coco in Luther last year. He matured nicely.

Pooh Pooh is estimated to be around 4 years of age. Pooh came to us as a stud, and suffered many wounds from the other studs. He had a large cyst in his mouth that had to be treated as well as damage to one of his eyes that healed nicely. Pooh was gelded and adopted out to a wonderful family in Bristow last year.

Trigger is around 5 years old. He came to us as a stud and extremely poor. He took a little longer to gain his weight back. Trigger was gelded and adopted out to a wonderful family in Edmond last year.

Ms. Runner is about 6 years old. She was the only horse that was bred when she arrived. She delivered her foal in April of 2002, named Pebbles. Ms. Runner is exactly what her name implies. She loves to run. Ms. Runner is currently being loved on by both of our daughters.
