Nixon came into our rescue program on November 8, 2016. Nixon came from the Hughes County Sheriff's Office as a cruelty case. Nixon is a Beautiful, Bay, Gaited Breed, Gelding. Nixon is estimated to be 11 years of age. Nixon is emaciated, body score of a 2, infested with internal/external parasites and loaded with ticks. Nixon is enemic due to the tick overload. We have been working hard to get all of them off of him. I have never seen a horse so grossly covered with so many layers of ticks. Nixon is a super sweet boy and so tolerable of us working with him to remove so many ticks. Nixon loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier. This sweet boy has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will continue to update as Nixon improves. Please consider making a donation towards Nixon's Rehabilitation.

Update March 2017 Nixon is looking wonderful and now ready for his forever, loving home to call his own. We recently learned that Nixon is gaited. Not sure what breed he may be. He is a gorgeous boy with a very stout build. Nixon does not appear to be broke to ride. He has a lot of potential with the right trainer and family. He is a super sweet boy and loves attention. Nixon stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Nixon has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental, and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Nixon.
