Libby

Libby came into our rescue program on February 28, 2008. Libby is part of an animal cruelty investigation by the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office. Libby was taken to the Jones Livestock Auction, by her former owner, 15 minutes before the sale ended. One of the Deputies from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office contacted me at 11:00 pm Thursday evening and requested that we come to the sale and pick up this horse. Henry

Ben

Ben came into our rescue program on February 25, 2008. Ben came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with Henry. Ben is a 6 year old, Roan, Appaloosa, Stud. Ben was gelded on March 15, 2008, he was crypt-orchid and required surgery to properly geld him. Ben is doing great and has recovered well!..

Moonshine

Moonshine came into our rescue program on July 31, 2007, along with 42 other horcame into our rescue program on February 10, 2008. Moonshine came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division. Moonshine is a 3 year old, black, Thoroughbred, Gelding. Moonshine was injured off of the track in late September, his injuries consisted of a fractured sesamoid and strained ligament. He did not receive proper surgery to correct the problem when the injury occurred. I am told that he previous owner gave Moonshine away after the accident...

Elvis

Elvis came into our rescue program on September 27, 2007. Elvis came in with 1 other horse that was severely neglected and starved, both had wounds all over their body, and infested with parasites. These horses were being ridden in their current condition. Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office investigated these horses and called us to seize and rehabilitate. Secret

Secret came into our rescue program on June 19, 2007. Secret came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division and she has been very mistreated. Secret is a sweet miniature horse that is estimated to be 4 years old. Secret was extremely thin upon arrival and her back feet are deformed. We are hoping with a lot of farrier work and patience, we can get her feet close to normal. She is a sweetheart! She gets around very well and loves being with the other horses...

Captain Jack

Captain Jack came into our rescue program on May 30, 2007. Captain Jack came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare as a cruelty case along with 2 other horses. This beautiful boy has been nearly starved to death and it appears that the other horses were eating his tail. Captain Jack is a beautiful, 7 yr, Buckskin, Paint, Stud. Zip came into our rescue program on March 13, 2007. Zip is a beautiful sorrel with flaxen mane and tail, Registered, QH Gelding. He is 17 years old. Zip will require special care if he is adopted. Zip's front feet have to be shod every six weeks...

Devon

Devon came into our rescue program on March 16, 2007. Devon is a beautiful AMHR/AMHA, yearling, stud colt. He is very tiny. It appears that Devon has a condition referred to as "leg lock" in miniature horses. His hind leg will lock up and he is unable to bend it...

Don

Don came into our rescue program on January 25, 2007. Don was an Animal Cruelty case that the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division had been working for the last 8 months. Don came with 7 other horses that were all previously starved. Don is a Beautiful, Gray Spotted, Mule, Gelding. Today, they look great and are ready for a new loving forever home to call their own...

Roany

Roany came into our rescue program on January 2, 2007. Roany is an adorable, Red Roan, Pony, Mare. She is estimated to be 12 years of age. She is a sweetheart, loves carrots and gets along great with other horses. Roany was an owner surrender due to her previous owner having heart failure. She needs some major repair on her feet, but other than that, she is very healthy...

Sam

Sam came into our rescue program on December 9, 2005. Sam is an 8 year old Sorrel Quarter Horse Gelding. He is underweight and spooky right now. He needs a lot of TLC and hopefully as he gains his weight, he will also gain trust. He is very unsure of us and his surroundings, which is understandable. He also seems very interested in the other horses and I think that he has been very lonely and just wants to be in a herd...

Lakoda

Lakoda came into our rescue program on May 20, 2006. Lakoda (is an Indian tribe that believed horses were a gift sent to them from the Heavens) is an extremely sweet Mare. Surprise, It's a Boy! Welcome Dancer! Lakoda gave birth on July 20, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. We have been waiting for this precious baby for about a month now. We thought that she may have been pregnant, as she just kept getting bigger and bigger. We had her preg. checked a month ago and found out that she was indeed pregnant. Next, was waiting for his arrival...

Deuce

Deuce came into our rescue program on December 4, 2005. Deuce is estimated to be 23 years of age. He is a very pretty Appaloosa Gelding. He is an extremely sweet horse and is excellent with children. He would make a great starter horse for a child. He is a bit underweight but should gain most of it back. We will have him completely vet checked by our vet and take care of his vaccinations, coggins, deworming, and hoof maintenance. Deuce is a very loving horse and deserves to have that final loving forever home of his own. He would enjoy a child to love on him and brush him daily...

Turner

Turner (aka) Doc, came into our rescue program March 14, 2005. Turner is an 5 year old registered quarter horse gelding. Turner has already gone through a great deal in his short 5 years of life. Turner had been sent to a horse trainer by his previous owners to be trained to ride. Unfortunately, the trainer was extremely rough with Turner resulting in breaking his Withers Bone. This injury took place in November of 2004. (Warning, some of the pictures are graphic.)...

The following horses were rescued from Oklahoma County on September 29, 2006. 36 horses were removed from one location in Spencer, Oklahoma. Many of these horses were extremely Starved and Neglected, their body scores ranged from a 1 to a 4. We will never forget the seizure of these horses and their unbelievable living conditions.

The Case is Closed!

Snickers

Snickers is a 3 year old Sorrel Filly. Snickers is a sweet girl. Snickers has a mild hernia that she will need to undergo surgery to repair. Snickers feet are in poor condition and will need to have her feet trimmed soon...

Brandy

Brandy is a 10 year old Paint Mare. Brandy was also in extremely poor condition and barely able to walk. Her feet were full of abscesses and had not received proper hoof care in a year. She is a sweet mare and the mother of Briscoe. Brandy has received her first trimming and we are still treating all her abscesses. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her...

Okra

Okra is a yearling, Sorrel Stud. Okra was in very poor condition upon arrival. He also has a Hernia that will he will need to have surgery to repair. His feet were extremely long and had never been trimmed and he also had his halter embedded...

Tilly

Tilly is a 6 year old, Bay Roan Mare. Tilly is in extremely poor condition and the mother of Encore. Tilly has nothing left to give her son...

Abby

Abby is an 8 year old, Grey Appy. Abby was in poor condition upon arrival. She has a few battle wounds on her. She is a sweet girl and she is doing well...
