Bones came into our rescue program on July 11, 2012. Bones came from Logan County Sheriff's Office as a cruelty case along with 2 other horses. Bones is a Beautiful, Bay, Thoroughbred, Gelding. He was a former racehorse. He is a body score of a 1, infested with internal/external parasites. He has a stage 5 heart murmur. Bones is estimated to be 10 years of age. Bones stands at 16 hands tall. Bones is a super sweet and very smart. He stands for the farrier and loads in the trailer. He has such a sweet disposition and loves attention. We will update as he progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Bones rehabilitation.

Update November 2012 Bones has come a long way and is looking great. This sweet boy is now seeking his forever, loving home. Bones no longer has a high grade heart murmur. We believe that when he first arrived, in his extreme state of emaciation, his body was starting to shut down, which caused such a high grade heart murmur. His heart was working over time to try and keep him alive. It appears that we got to Bones just in time to save his life. Today, he is happy and healthy and extremely full of life. He is still gaining weight, but he is doing great and looking wonderful. This sweet boy has so much to offer. He is extremely sweet and very well mannered. He loves attention, stands for the farrier, and loads in the trailer. Bones is broke to ride! We would recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area. He will make someone an excellent horse. Bones has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in giving this sweet boy the forever, loving home that he deserves, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come see Bones.

Bones has been adopted to a wonderful family in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Bones is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this wonderful boy will have a family that will appreciate him and all he has been through, accomplished and restore him back to his dignified beauty that he deserves. Although, this is a tough one to say goodbye to, I know deep in my heart, he has the best family and will receive the time, attention and love that he deserves. This sweet boy is sharing his forever loving family with Tahoe. We are thrilled for both of these sweet boys!
