Hildago came into our rescue program on January 11, 2012. Hildago came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with Kirkpatrick as an animal cruelty case. Hildago is a Beautiful, Sorrel/White, Paint, Gelding. Hildago is estimated to be 4 years of age. Hildago has a body score of a 2. Hildago was extremely lame upon entry. His front feet were full of abscesses and his sole was extremely thin. After treating his abscesses, our vet recommeneded front shoes in order to get him off the ground and allow growth on his sole. He is such a sweet boy and has been very tolerant of everything as we try to get his feet healthy again. He stands for the farrier, loads in a trailer and has such a sweet disposition. He is doing so much better and has free range of motion again. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will update as he progresses. We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
