Clarkson came into our rescue program on July 14, 2020. Clarkson came into our rescue program from the City of Edmond Animal Welfare along with 23 other horses as a cruelty case. This case has been a long drawn out ordeal and we are thankful that we can now prepare these horses for adoption. Many of these horses had a lot of medical issues that we have been treating and taking care of. Reportedly, most of the horses in this case are all Western Pleasure bred. We DO NOT have registration papers on any of these horses. Clarkson is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Clarkson is estimated to be 6 years of age upon arrival into our program. Clarkson is super sweet and loves attention. Clarkson is in fair condition, with a body condition score 4. Clarkson's left eye has severe corneal edema and peripheral corneal vascularization, mild bupthalmos, possible ocular injury or inflammation. Medications were dispensed for treatment to be done 3 times daily. Clarkson's blood work showed his total protein was elevated, this can indicate dehydration or infection. Glucose was low, this is likely due to poor nutrition. Albumin was mildly elevated, this can be due to dehydration. A fecal egg count was done and strongyles were present at 575 EPG (high shedder). Fasciola eggs were also present. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Clarkson's Rehabilitation.

Update April 2023 Clarkson is now seeking his forever, loving home. Clarkson is a super sweet boy and full of personality. He is always curious about what you are doing and wants to be in the middle of it. Clarkson has received 30 days of training with Aaron Dickinson. We would recommend an experienced rider. Clarkson has a lot of potential to go any direction. He's very smart and very athletic. Clarkson stands at 16.1 hands tall. Clarkson is blind in one eye, but it does not slow him down any. Clarkson is now 9 years of age. Clarkson stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Clarkson has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy, please submit an adoption application or call/text/email to schedule an appointment to come see Clarkson.

Clarkson has been adopted to a wonderful family in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Clarkson is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this super sweet boy found his forever family that he deserves, where he will be showered with love and attention.
