Wilson

Wilson came into our rescue program on July 14, 2020. Wilson came into our rescue program from the City of Edmond Animal Welfare along with 23 other horses as a cruelty case. This case has been a long drawn out ordeal and we are thankful that we can now prepare these horses for adoption. Many of these horses had a lot of medical issues that we have been treating and taking care of. Reportedly, most of the horses in this case are all Western Pleasure bred. We DO NOT have registration papers on any of these horses. Wilson is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Wilson is estimated to be 7 years of age. Wilson is super sweet and loves attention. Wilson is in fair condition, with a body condition score 4. Wilson has a wound on the left front limb on the dorsal aspect of the fetlock. It has a healthy bed of granulation tissue. Wilson's blood work showed his total protein to be elevated, this can be due to dehydration or infection. Glucose was slightly low, that is likely due to poor nutrition. A fecal egg count revealed 150 EPG strongyles (low shedder). We will be updating his adoption status soon as we evaluate him and he puts on a little bit of weight. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Wilson's Rehabilitation.
