Chenoa

Chenoa came into our rescue program on November 1, 2021. Chenoa came into our rescue program from the Bristow Livestock Auction. We attended the monthly horse sale, for educational purposes, as we don't typically attend horse auctions. This auction is strictly by the pound, unless you are riding the horse in the ring. Of course, while we are there, we see horses that are thin, etc., and felt compelled to bring some back to our program. Chenoa is a Beautiful, Roan, BLM Mustang, Mare. Chenoa is estimated to be 3 years of age. Chenoa is super sweet and loves attention. Chenoa was not halter broke upon arrival. Chenoa is now halter broke and broke to lead. Chenoa is a little thin and needs to gain a bit more weight before evaluating for adoption. Chenoa will make someone an excellent horse with the right amount of time and training. We will update as she improves. Please consider making a donation towards Chenoa's Rehabilitation.

Chenoa was picked for our 11th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. She was chosen by Trainer Avery Proffitt. Avery Proffitt will be working with Chenoa for the next 130 days, turning Chenoa into a dependable riding companion. Chenoa will be going against 10 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 11 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 14, 2022 at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. For additional information regarding our Trainer's Challenge, please visit our trainer's challenge website and follow your favorite Trainer/Rescue Horse on their journey to competition. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Chenoa will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 14th, 2022 through an all-day silent auction. Chenoa is a sweet girl and loves attention. Chenoa has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Chenoa has also been freeze branded for her protection. If you are interested in adopting Chenoa, please submit an adoption application and get your pre-approved status, in order to adopt Chenoa or one of our other Rescued Horses competing on May 14th, 2022.

Update April 2022 To our surprise, we learned that Chenoa is pregnant and due to foal anytime. Unbeknownst to us, she was pregnant when she entered our program. We did not check her prior to going into the challenge as there wasn't any indications that she could possibly be in foal. Whoever plans to adopt Chenoa, please know, she is a 2 for 1 package. We pray Chenoa has this baby before competition, at least a week before, if not, we pray she holds off until she is in her new home. Avery Proffitt has done an amazing job with Chenoa and she is more than ready to show what they have accomplished on May 14, 2022.

Chenoa did a great job at this year's 11th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainers Challenge. We are thrilled to announce that Trainer Avery Proffitt came in 2nd place with Team Chenoa. Both did an amazing job, and we couldn't be more proud of this wonderful team.

Chenoa has been adopted to a wonderful family in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Chenoa is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this special girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will be showered with love and attention.
