Firebug came into our rescue program on April 19, 2013. Firebug and his mom Heidi came from the Seminole City Police Department along with 9 other horses as a severe cruelty case. We were able to assist Seminole City and save 10 horses. Heidi is a Beautiful, Red Roan, Quarter Horse, Mare. Firebug is a Beautiful, Bay, Colt. He is estimated to be 6 to 8 weeks of age. Mom is super sweet and very smart. She loves attention. Her foal Firebug isn't as social-able yet, but with some time and attention, he will become just as love-able. Firebug's mom Heidi still has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses. Please consider donating towards Heidi's Rehabilitation.

Update May 30, 2016 Firebug is ready for a forever, loving home to call his own. We are saddened that Firebug did not get adopted at the Trainer's Challenge. His full potential just wasn't seen. Angie Sack and Team Firebug did great at the challenge and placed 4th in the adult division. This beautiful boy has a lot to offer and is young enough to go any direction. He is still just a kid, but he is very well trained and tries very hard to please. Firebug has returned to our rescue following the competition and once he settled back in at home, he was ridden by Emily Roberts and Shawn Cross and now Kelci Goad. Firebug was super calm and didn't get in a hurry to do anything. He needs a calm, relaxed rider, where both can excel together. He would make a great trail/pleasure horse, or he can be trained for any discipline you wish. Firebug has been ridden on the trails since he has been back. He loves to trail ride and he gets excited and eager to go. He is still just a kid so things such as deer jumping out scare him a bit, but he is easily controlled. He is currently being ridden twice a week, but he gets bored in the round pen and wants to do so much more. This special boy just needs a family and a job. He loves attention, he is always waiting for someone to come visit him. He loves his head to be rubbed and scratched and he will quickly lean into you to do it himself if he is ignored. He still has a bit more to grow, so I can only imagine how big and beautiful this boy will get. Firebug loves attention and he has an eager to please personality. You can watch Angie's performance during our 5th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer's Challenge here: Team Firebug. Angie Sack and Team Firebug came in 4th Place in our Adult Division, 5th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer's Challenge. These two did a wonderful job! Firebug has received 5 months of training and is still being worked and ridden so that he continues to thrive while waiting for his forever, loving home. Firebug has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Firebug and try him out for yourself.

Firebug has been adopted to a wonderful family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Firebug is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled this super sweet boy found the forever, loving family he deserves where he will be showered with love and attention.
