Toffee came into our rescue program originally on July 4, 2010 but sadly returned on April 19, 2018. Toffee came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 9 other Thoroughbred's that were seized, from the owner/trainer, for Animal Cruelty. These horses are severely neglected, most are emaciated, infested with internal and external parasites and lacked hoof care. These babies have a long road of recovery ahead of them. Toffee is a Beautiful, Bay, Mare. She is estimated to be 6 years of age. Toffee is extremely emaciated with a body score of a 1. She is super sweet and loves attention. This sweet girl will need some dental work and immediate hoof care. We believe that she may be pregnant and we will have her ultra-sounded soon. We were informed that one of the Mares did miscarry a foal, but are not certain which Mare. We will check all the mares in this group to determine who is in foal, if any, and who miscarried. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Toffee's Rehabilitation.

Update 9/18/2010 -- Toffee is now seeking her forever, loving family. Toffee is a sweet girl that loves attention. She has gained a lot of weight and looks great. Toffee is not pregnant. Toffee stands at 15.1 hands tall. She stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Toffee tacks up nicely, and will need a little time and patience and she will be riding nicely. Toffee has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application.

Update April 2012 Toffee is seeking her forever, loving home. Toffee has returned to our rescue organization and seeking her forever, loving family. Toffee is now 8 years old. She stands at 15.1 hands tall. Toffee is a sweet girl and loves attention. She looks wonderful and has been extremely well cared for. Toffee is broke to ride and will make someone an excellent horse. We would recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area. Toffee stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Toffee has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application or call/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Toffee.

Update April 19, 2018 We was contacted by a supporter that one of our former branded rescued horses was at the Jones Livestock Auction to be sold. Nothing makes me more furious than when someone breaches our adoption contract. Our contract and our brand exist for a reason. Our horses deserve better. If you could no longer provide our horse care, return it! I will be pursuing a civil suit against the former adopter who allowed our horse to return to a low body score and be sold at auction. Toffee is a sweet girl and loves attention. She once again has weight to gain. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Toffee's Rehabilitation.

Toffee has been adopted to a wonderful family in Pretty Prairie, KS. She is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet girl found the forever family she deserves where she will be showered with love and attention.

Please call or email to schedule an appointment to visit the horses currently available in our rescue program. We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
