Honey came into our rescue program on July 14, 2020. Honey came into our rescue program from the City of Edmond Animal Welfare along with 23 other horses as a cruelty case. This case has been a long drawn out ordeal and we are thankful that we can now prepare these horses for adoption. Many of these horses had a lot of medical issues that we have been treating and taking care of. Reportedly, most of the horses in this case are all Western Pleasure bred. We DO NOT have registration papers on any of these horses. Honey is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. Honey is estimated to be 12 years of age. Honey is a super sweet girl and loves attention. Honey has a foal on her side estimated to be around 10 weeks of age. Honey is in fair condition, with a body condition score of a 4. Honey's bloodwork showed she was anemic, which can be due to external or internal parasites, poor nutrition, blood loss, or other chronic health issues. Her total protein was high which can be due to dehydration or infection. Glucose was low likely due to poor nutrition and high calorie demand (lactation). Honey is being a great mom and settling in well with a good diet to properly accommodate momma and baby. We will update as she improves. Please consider making a donation towards Honey's Rehabilitation.

Update March 2021 Honey is now seeking a forever, loving home to call her own. Honey is a super sweet girl and loves attention. She is usually one of the first to come greet you. She is easy to catch and handle. Honey is broke to ride and will make someone an excellent addition to their family. We do recommend some tune up time in a round pen or small enclosed area. Honey stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Honey has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental, and hoof maintenance. If you are interested in adopting this beautiful girl, please submit an adoption application or call/text/email to schedule an appointment to come visit Honey.
