Fireman came into our rescue program on June 24, 2021. Fireman came into our rescue program from the City of Norman Animal Welfare along with 2 other horses. Fireman is a Beautiful, Black/White, Arabian/Paint, Gelding. Fireman is estimated to be 13 years of age upon arrival into our program. Fireman is super sweet and loves attention. Fireman is very thin, with a body condition score 3. Fireman's blood work showed abnormal results, such as elevated total protein which can be attributed to dehydration and/or elevated globulins. Globulins were elevated which can indicate infection. Total bilirubin is elevated which can indicate decreased caloric intake, etc., His feet were in extremely poor condition. We have Fireman on a specialized diet and he is improving daily. Fireman has a long recovery ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Fireman was picked for our 11th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Trainer Staci Dickinson. Staci Dickinson will be working with Fireman for the next 130 days, turning Fireman into a dependable riding companion. Fireman will be going against 10 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 11 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 14, 2022 at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Fireman will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 14th, 2022 through an all-day silent auction. Fireman is a sweet boy and loves attention. Fireman has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Fireman has also been freeze branded for his protection. Fireman did a great job at this year's 11th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainers Challenge. We are thrilled to announce that Trainer Stacy Dickinson came in 7th place with Team Fireman. Both did an amazing job, and we couldn't be prouder of this wonderful team.

Update March 2023 Fireman has sadly been returned to our program. Fireman is now 15 years of age This sweet boy has a lot to offer but needs a family that is patient and doesn't apply a lot of pressure. He would be best suited for an intermediate to experienced rider. His original Trainer Aaron Dickinson came down to spend some time with Fireman and he did great. We do plan to send Fireman for a 30-day refresher, if he doesn't find the perfect fit. Fireman stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Fireman has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental, and hoof maintenance. Update July 2023 Fireman has returned from 30 days of training with Aaron Dickinson. He has done great and is looking for his forever home. Fireman is now 15 years old and he stands at 14.2 hands tall. Fireman is a sweet boy and he needs someone that is patient and doesn't apply a lot of pressure. Fireman has a lot to offer and will make someone an excellent horse. We aren't sure what his bloodlines are, but we do think he has some gaited breed in him also, as Aaron was able to get him to gait and he said it was very smooth. Fireman has been adopted to a wonderful family in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Fireman is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet boy found the forever family he deserves, where he will be showered with love and attention.
