Skeeter came into our rescue program on December 19, 2020. Skeeter came into our rescue program as an owner surrender. Skeeter is a Beautiful, Bay, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Skeeter is estimated to be 5 years of age. Skeeter is a sweet boy but tends to be a bit aloof. Once he is caught, he has a willing personality and enjoys attention. Skeeter is halter broke and broke to lead. He needs some work standing for the farrier and loading in a trailer. Skeeter has a lot of potential to make someone an excellent horse with the right amount of time and training. Skeeter has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Skeeter was picked for our 10th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Youth Trainer Selah Ocker. Selah Ocker will be working with Skeeter for the next 130 days, turning Skeeter into a dependable riding companion. Selah will be going against 7 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 16 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 15, 2021, at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Skeeter will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 15th, 2021, through an all-day silent auction. Skeeter is a sweet boy and loves attention. Skeeter has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Skeeter has also been freeze branded for his protection. Update January 2022 Skeeter is now seeking a forever, loving home to call his own. This handsome boy received 30 days of tuning up under saddle by Aaron Dickinson. Skeeter is a super smart horse and ready to go in any direction. Skeeter is going to make someone an excellent horse. He continues to be ridden weekly here. We do recommend an intermediate or Experienced Rider. Skeeter stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Skeeter has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental and hoof maintenance. Skeeter has been adopted to a wonderful family in Calumet, Oklahoma. Skeeter is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet boy found the forever, loving family he deserves, where he will be showered with love and attention.
