Hondo came into our rescue program on February 16, 2020. Hondo came into our rescue program from The Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division. Hondo is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Hondo is estimated to be 9 years of age and stands at 14.1 hands tall. Hondo is a sweet boy and loves attention but can be a bit aloof. Hondo is halter broke and broke to lead. He does not appear to have any formal training. Hondo has a lot of potential and is waiting for the perfect family to start him under saddle. Hondo stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Hondo has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Hondo was picked for our 10th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. He was chosen by Youth Trainer Dani Dickinson. Dani Dickinson will be working with Hondo for the next 130 days, turning Hondo into a dependable riding companion. Dani will be going against 7 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 16 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 15, 2021 at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Hondo will be available for adoption throughout the competition on May 15th, 2021 through an all day silent auction. Hondo is a sweet boy and loves attention. Hondo has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Hondo has also been freeze branded for his protection. Team Hondo did a great job at this years 10th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainers Challenge. We are thrilled to announce that Youth Trainer Dani Dickinson came in 5th place with Team Hondo. Both did an amazing job and we couldn't be more proud of this wonderful team.

Hondo has been adopted to a wonderful family in Peggs, Oklahoma. Hondo is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in his forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this sweet boy found the forever, loving family he deserves where he will be showered with love and attention.
