Winkie came into our rescue program on July 31, 2012. Winkie came from Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office as an owner surrender. Winkie is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. She is a body score of a 1, infested with internal/external parasites and in need of some major dental work. Winkie is estimated to be 20 years of age. Winkie has a 4 month old Filly named Peyton. Peyton is super sweet, but hasn't experienced a lot of hands on. She has a very large hernia that will require surgery. Winkie is a super sweet and very smart. She stands for the farrier and loads in the trailer. She has such a sweet disposition and loves attention. We will update as she progresses. Update August 2013 Winkie has came a long way and looking so much better. She is still gaining weight, but doing great. Winkie is now seeking her forever, loving home. Winkie would be most suitable as a companion animal only. She has been a brood mare most of her life. She is a sweet girl and easy to handle. She isn't a horse that loves a lot of attention, but she doesn't completely ignore you either. Winkie needs a loving retirement home where she can be spoiled rotten. Winkie has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and hoof maintenance. We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays.
