Marky came into our rescue program on May 28, 2019. Marky came into our rescue program from the City of Choctaw and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office along with 22 other horses and Donkeys as a cruelty case. Sadly, one died the night before the seizure, despite our best efforts to save her. She was reportedly down for more than 10 hours, before we got the call. Marky is a Beautiful, Grey, Arabian, Mare. Marky is estimated to be 25 years of age. Marky is a super sweet girl and loves attention. Marky is emaciated with a body score of a 1. She was Infested with internal/external parasites. She has a grade 4 diastolic heart murmur, which is common for starved/neglected horses. It just proves how much their body has to work to try and survive when they are starved. Marky's left eye was removed many years ago. It does not slow her down at all. She does have some tumors which appear to be cancer. We do not believe they are causing her any problems. Marky is gaining weight and strength daily. We will update her adoption status soon. Please consider making a donation towards Marky's Rehabilitation.

Update December 2019 Marky is now seeking her forever, loving home. Marky has gained a lot of weight and looking great. Marky is seeking a retirement home to call her own. We do not believe that Marky is broke to ride. She is a love bug and would be an amazing companion horse. Marky is super sweet, loves attention, easy to catch, stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Marky has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance.
