Atala came into our rescue program on February 6, 2022. Atala came into our rescue program as an animal cruelty case from the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office along with 5 other horses/donkeys. Atala is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. Atala is estimated to be 16 years of age upon arrival into our program. Atala is super sweet and loves attention. Atala's feet were in poor condition upon arrival, and she was infested with parasites. Atala stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. She is halter broke and broke to lead. Atala has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Atala's Rehabilitation.
Update May 2023 Atala is seeking a loving companion home only to call her own. Atala is a sweet girl but tends to be a bit reactive when asked to do anything. She needs someone who is soft and patient. Atala is a gaited breed but appears she may have some old injuries that would prevent her from being ridden. She does great with other horses. She does have some complications standing for the farrier, as we believe her hips were affected in a previous injury. She is pasture sound! Atala has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance.
