Zip came into our rescue program on March 13, 2007. Zip is a beautiful, sorrel with flaxen mane and tail, Registered, QH Gelding. He is 17 years old. Zip will require special care if he is adopted. Zip's front feet have to be shod every six weeks. Zip's left foot is Lysis of flexor surface of navicular bone with loss of corticomedullary junction with moderate remodeling. His right foot is club with 5-7 degree rotation. In other terms he has navicular syndrome. He has to have his toe dub back squarely and fit shoe full to heel with a wide webbed shoe. If he grows uncomfortable with that shoe, then he will require a full pad and equithane filler.

Our vet stated that he could do light trail rides, pasture rides. No rocky or rough terrain. HE WILL REQUIRE SHOES AT ALL TIMES ON HIS FRONT FEET.
