Steve came into our rescue program on October 1, 2017. Steve came into our rescue program from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division as a cruelty case. Steve is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Gelding. Steve is estimated to be 22 years of age. Steve is emaciated, body score of a 2, and infested with external/internal parasites. Steve is a sweet boy and loves attention. He has an old wound on his hind leg. He does not show any signs of lameness from the wound. We will see if there is anything we can do for it now. Steve stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Steve has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Steve's Rehabilitation.

Update April 2018 Steve is looking wonderful and has gained a lot of weight. Steve is a super sweet boy and loves attention. Now that Steve has gained a suitable amount of weight, we will visit with our veterinarians to determine what he can handle, verses if ridden, etc., Steve loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier. Steve has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. We will update soon regarding his adoption status.

We are generally available BY APPOINTMENT Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and generally anytime Friday - Sunday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
