Argo came into our rescue program on April 30, 2021. Argo came into our rescue program from the City of Norman Animal Welfare along with 18 other horses, 12 Camels, 58 Goats, 12 Jacob Sheep, 3 Llamas, 3 Alpacas, 13 Cows and 2 Oryk as a cruelty case. This was a wide scale animal cruelty case with over 30 different types of species seized, totaling over 350 animals. Argo is a Beautiful, Palomino, Quarter Horse, Mare. Argo is estimated to be 25 years of age. Argo is super sweet and loves attention. Argo is very thin, with a body condition score 2. Argo's blood work showed abnormal results, such as elevated total protein which can be attributed to dehydration and/or elevated globulins. Globulins were elevated which can indicate infection. Total bilirubin is elevated which can indicate decreased caloric intake, etc., Her feet were in extremely poor condition. We have Argo on a specialized diet and she is improving daily. Argo has a long recovery ahead of her. We will update as she improves. Please consider making a donation towards Argo's Rehabilitation.
